The fourth Lunar Cult album completes the story that began with Death Cannot Contain You and was carried on with Into Unknown Darkness. The tale concludes with Moonlight Guides You Home, 42 minutes of winter synth that is as comforting and hopeful as it is cathartic. Yet there are still moments of sorrow, as on A Lament for Those We Lost; and righteous, joyous anger, exemplified best by May the Skull of Every Fascist be Severed Form Their Neck, a title which underlines the anti-fascist intent of Lunar Cult. It culminates in the triumphant title track, an ode to togetherness that intentionally recalls the melodic motifs of Death Cannot Contain You, tying the ends of the narrative together.
